It joins Sigma’s F1.4 DC Contemporary series and offers a focal length equivalent to approximately 22.5mm on full-frame, delivering a wide yet quite natural perspective that is suited to everyday use.

At just 220g, it is significantly lighter than the 16mm f/1.4 DC DN, making it easier to carry and shoot for street photography, travel, gimbal mounting and vlogging.

Optical Design and Wide-Angle Perspective

The lens uses an 11-element, 13-group construction incorporating one FLD element, three SLD elements and three aspherical elements. This arrangement delivers good edge consistency and reduces aberrations that are commonly visible in wide-angle lenses.
