Image quality

The optical design has 12 elements in 10 groups, including one ED glass element and two aspherical elements to manage chromatic aberration and distortion across the zoom range. This is intended to deliver consistent sharpness for full-frame Nikon Z sensors while still keeping the lens compact.

The zoom range covers commonly used focal lengths for landscapes, environmental portraits, and general photography, allowing photographers to shoot without frequent lens changes.
