The Canon RF 45mm f/1.2 STM Lens is a bright, standard prime for full-frame Canon mirrorless cameras. At 45mm this slightly unusual focal width sits between two classics, the 35mm and 50mm, and is very similar to human vision.

This makes it a particularly versatile option for photographers and filmmakers who shoot portraits, everyday snaps, travel or video content, and prefer a natural perspective that closely matches the human eye.

The ultra-wide f/1.2 aperture delivers outstanding subject separation with beautifully smooth background blur, while also enabling faster shutter speeds for handheld shooing in low light. A new optical design features nine elements arranged into seven groups, including one aspherical element, which provides good levels of sharpness and contrast across the frame. Canon’s Super Spectra Coating has been applied to minimise flare and ghosting, while rendering good clarity when shooting in backlit conditions.
