The Tamron 50-300mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD Lens is designed for Sony E-Mount full-frame camera bodies.
Starting at the wide end of 50mm and equipped with the VC mechanism, it obtains high image quality in its class. Built into a compact and lightweight form factor of just 150mm and 665g, the size also produces good balance when paired with an APS-C camera. The compact size also makes for convenient handheld shooting.

Uncompromised Optical Performance

Optical construction includes 19 elements in 14 groups and is optimised to produce excellent image quality throughout the 50-300mm zoom range.
Special lens elements include two XLD (eXtra Lod Dispersion) and two LD (Low Dispersion) elements that effectively control chromatic and other aberrations. Tamron's Broad-Band Anti-Reflection Generation 2 (BBAR-G2) Coating has been applied to reduce ghosting and flare on the front lens element.
9-Bladed rounded aperture blades ensure a soft and beautiful bokeh.

The Tamron 50-300mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD Lens features Tamron's VXD linear motor focus mechanism. You are able to lock in accurate focus from the MOD to infinity, and sudden subject movements can be captured using precise focus tracking.
The linear motor provides quick, quiet and accurate auto focus performance which makes it well-suited for both video and still applications.

Equipped With Tamron's Proprietary VC Mechanism

Equipped with Tamron's proprietary VC mechanism that is designed to effectively suppress camera shake during handheld shooting at the telephoto end and capturing moving subjects.

When the Tamron 50-300mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD Lens is used with an APS-C camera you will have equivalent focal length ranges from 75 to 450mm, wherewith the VC mechanism is especially useful at the telephoto end. Moreover, at focal lengths of up to 100mm, AI (Artificial Intelligence) technologies provide additional compensation with videography in mind.
