The uncomplicated and authentic Leica D-Lux 8 Digital Camera features a unique design and dedicated user interface that is inspired by Leica's Q Series Cameras. On the Leica D Lux 8, you will find simplified and repositioned controls allowing for improved comfort and operability.
The Leica D-Lux 8 Digital Camera employs a 17MP Four Thirds CMOS Sensor with a Leica DC Vario-Summilux 10.9–34mm f/1.7–2.8 ASPH Lens attached with a 24–75 mm equivalent. Included, you will also find an on-camera flash included.
The Leica D-Lux 8 is the first model to feature DNG file support. Further coupling a 3" 1.84m-dot TFT LCD with a 2.36MP OLED EVF that features a built-in eye detect sensor to automatically switch between the LCD panel and viewfinder.

17MP Four Thirds CMOS Sensor
The Leica D-Lux 8 Digital Camera offers you an impressive imaging experience by pairing the 17MP Four Thirds CMOS sensor with the equally impressive Leica DC Vario-Summilux 10.9-34mm f/1.7-2.8 ASPH. Zoom Lens. The lens features a full-frame equivalence of 24-75mm.
Using this combination the DLux 8 also allows you to choose between capturing in DNG or JPEG file formats in the aspect ratios of 16:9, 3:2, 4:3, and 1:1. You can also capture in both file types simultaneously.
Excel in Low-Light Conditions
Included in the box you will also find a compact and powerful flash unit which you can easily attach to the hot shoe of your Leica D-Lux8, that enables you to easily capture high-quality images regardless of the available lighting conditions. The flash can also be used to capture with a second curtain sync.
Seamless Workflow with the Leica FOTOS App
The Leica D-Lux 8 features a seamless connection to the Leica FOTOS App that offers a variety of features including remote control of optical zoom, access to firmware updates, and utilization of the self-timer.
Some notable improvements built into the Leica DLux8 when paired with the app include enhanced geotagging, a simplified FOTOS App menu, faster connection from the app to the camera, and the ability to select your favourite photos and video.
