The Osmo Mobile 3 from DJI is a smartphone gimbal that is more improved on it's features when compared to it's predecessor. For instance, it is lighter, can be controlled via the DJI Mimo app for both Android and iOS smartphones as well as it supports larger phones. Another feature in this gimbal is it's new Sport mode, hand gesture control and body shape recognition as well as Bluetooth 5.0 support. The handle has been redesigned so that the ports are all accessible when charging, it can fold down for storage, and the handheld experience has been made much more comfortable and accessible at a 15° angle.
Smartphones of up to 3.5" can fit in the gimbal's cradle for smooth footages in handheld operation. Additionally, it syncs with the DJI Mimo mobile app for accessibility to multiple shooting modes and such functions as Underslung, Time-Lapse, Portrait, Panorama, Landscape and a Sport mode for fast-action shooting. To track your movement, record a video or take a selfie with the gimbal, you can use hand gestures to control the gimbal. It can also automatically track body shapes to track human subjects without the need to make a manual selection with ActiveTrack 3.0.
The battery is built-in with an approximate run-time of 15 hours at full power and 2.5 hours to charge using the included USB Type-C cable. The back of the handle has a USB Type-A power output that you can use to charge your phone or other accessories while operating the gimbal. There is also a 1/4"-20 mounting thread at the bottom of the gimbal handle to mount the gimbal on a tripod or other accessory.
