Having been designed specifically for mirrorless cameras, with an F6.3 aperture at the telephoto end, the 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3 is the world’s smallest and lightest full-frame mirrorless telephoto zoom lens. It measures 150.3mm (5.9 in) long with a maximum diameter of 77mm and weighs just 580g (20.5 oz).

The zoom range makes it easy for photographers to experience compression and limited depth-of-field unique to a powerful telephoto lens. This Z mount lens is also ideal for users who want to reduce their luggage weight and hike with a lighter load on trails and nature walks.

SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE AND PORTABILITY

The 70-300mm F4.5-6.3 optical design successfully balances a compact size with high image quality. The optical construction includes 15 elements in 10 groups, with an LD (Low Dispersion) lens element to suppress axial chromatic and other aberrations which are common with telephoto zoom lenses. When zoomed in to 300mm, which is a commonly used telephoto focal length, the lens delivers excellent resolution from edge-to-edge. EXCEPTIONALLY QUIET AF TECHNOLOGY

The AF drive incorporates a sensor that accurately detects the position of the lens while the RXD motor unit delivers optimised AF control. This delivers very fast and accurate autofocusing and allows users to maintain pin-sharp focus even with continuously moving subjects, which are common subjects for telephoto zoom lenses. Thanks to the exceedingly quiet AF, the lens can be used discreetly in concert halls and other situations that require low noise levels, as well as for video shooting.

TAMRON LENS UTILITY SOFTWARE
