The Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR Lens is an all-in-one 8.3x zoom covering wide-angle to telephoto focal lengths. An advanced optical design, which uses a series of aspherical and ED elements, pairs with both ARNEO and Nano Crystal Coatings to produce sharp and clear image quality with high contrast and accurate colour rendering to benefit working in various lighting conditions.

Super Versatile Zoom Range

The Nikon24-200mm VR lens brings another longer zoom range lens to the Z-mount line-up. Extremely adaptable, you’ll be able to find subjects to capture both near and far making it an excellent lens for travel where you sometimes have to pick one lens for the day. It’s versatile enough to go from wide scenes to close-ups so you can get a little extra creative with your framing.

Fast, Accurate Autofocus

An STM (stepping motor) drives the autofocusing system, ensuring reliable and accurate operation that’s also very quiet. To further reduce focusing sounds, the control ring is also step-less, meaning no annoying clicking sounds when you’re shooting video or in a quiet environment.

Silky Smooth Vibration Reduction

The lens also has a convenient built-in Vibration Reduction (VR) function that provides up to 5 stops of stabilisation which will help you get sharper handheld shots even when using the longer end of the zoom range. This feature is also hugely beneficial when creating videos, resulting in footage that’s less shaky and distracting.

Customisable Focus Ring

Separate zoom and focusing rings give you easy control over lens operation, whether you’re using autofocus or manual. The focus ring can also be set to control aperture, ISO or exposure compensation instead, for a workflow that can be totally customised to suit your preference or job requirements. You can even lock focus at 24mm to prevent accidental zooming, ideal for video.

19 Elements in 15 Groups

The optical arrangement consists of 19 elements in 15 groups and includes 2 Extra-low Dispersion (ED) elements, 1 aspherical ED element, and 2 aspherical elements. These work together to help minimise chromatic aberration and image distortion for better image quality across the focal range.

Advanced Lens Coatings

Building on the optical construction, Nikon has included lens elements that feature an advanced ARNEO coat that performs exceptionally well in backlit conditions where it works to minimise ghosting and flaring effects. The front element itself is fluorine-coated to help repel moisture and stop it from gathering on the lens while you work.

Durable, Weather Resistant Design

Considering the zoom range on the Nikon 24-200 mm VR lens, it’s also relatively compact and lightweight, sitting at just 570g. It’s also built to be tough, with a weather resistant design that offers a little extra peace of mind when the weather takes a sudden turn. These features are part of what makes the lens a great travel companion when you just need one lens for every moment.
