The Canon Speedlite EL-5 is built for brilliance and provides professional lighting and performance to match. The flashgun allows you to add sufficient lighting to your subject, making it ideal for portraits, weddings, events and when you want to get all creative.

The powerful GN60-rated flash offers fast recycle times and long continuous busts, while a power level indicator provides reassurance on the LP-EL Li-ion battery charge, multi-function foot for advanced operation, multi-flash lighting for studio quality shooting - letting you control up to 15 speedlites wirelessly with built-in radio transmitter at up to 30m away and model the lighting all thanks to a Dual White LED with brightness adjustment.

Note:

The Speedlite EL-5 uses the newer multi-function shoe. This is only compatible with select Canon EOS R Series camera bodies and will not work with older cameras that use a different hot shoe design.

* Compatible with the latest Canon mirrorless cameras with a Multi-Function shoe for mounting directly on camera - a camera firmware update may be required. Please note, despite having a Multi-Function shoe, the EOS R5 C is not compatible. The Speedlite EL-5 cannot be mounted to a camera with a standard 5-pin hot-shoe, but can be controlled from Speedlite EX-series compatible EOS cameras wirelessly instead by using a compatible wireless Speedlite transmitter (e.g. the ST-E3-RT (Ver.2)) or a compatible RT Speedlite with Radio Transmitter capability (e.g. EL-1, 600EX RT-II, 430EX RT-III).
