Extending the effective focal length of select Tamron lenses, this Tamron Teleconverter 2.0x for Canon EF enables you to get even more reach out of your telephoto lenses. The dedicated design retains communication between the lens and Canon EF-mount cameras, including auto-exposure metering and Vibration Compensation image stabilization, and both one low dispersion element and a BBAR coating has also been incorporated to maintain image quality. Additionally, this teleconverter also features a dust- and moisture-resistant construction, matching the lens, to benefit working in harsh environmental conditions.
Electronic Camera to Lens Communication
The Tamron Teleconverter 2.0x for Canon EF maintains full electronic communication between your camera and Tamron lenses, allowing Vibration Compensation (VC), auto-exposure, and autofocus functions to be used as normal with compatible lenses.
Anti-Reflection Coating and Low Dispersion Element
Built with 9 elements in 5 groups, Tamron Teleconverter 2.0x for Canon EF uses their BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) coating to reduce the flares, reflections, and ghosting, maintaining the high image quality you’re used to. A low dispersion element helps reduce chromatic aberrations and colour fringing.
Tough Moisture-Resistant, Metal Design
The Tamron 2.0x teleconverter’s sturdy metal barrel looks almost seamless when attached to your lens. It also uses the same dust and moisture-resistant sealing featured on the lens, complementing the design even further and offering you peace of mind even in less favourable weather.
